  • How long does it take for an MAS to be made?

     

    A custom-made MAS may take a week or longer for it to be fitted.

    Splints are easy to take care of (can be cleaned with a toothbrush and toothpaste).

    MAS may be suitable for patients with no teeth – your MAS specialist will assess your suitability.

    Some people may initially experience aching of the jaw muscles and teeth, although this should disappear in a few days.
